A new Incentive has been launched to support Micro Enterprises in digitalising their operations
The Digitalise your Micro Business incentive has been recently launched by the Measures and Support Division in order to assist micro enterprises in digitalising their operations. Non-repayable grant schemes are given to support investment in digitalising business operations, leading to better resilience, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction by implementing new digital capabilities such as designing and engineering products and processes, managing procurement, handling supply chain and distribution, and providing after-sales services.
All micro enterprises are eligible for the scheme. Funding for this program is provided by the Recovery and Resilience Fund, covering 50% of the eligible costs for each digital technology investment, up to a maximum of €10,000 per operation. Businesses located in Gozo will receive an extra 10% aid.
Eligible investments include hardware or software, such as commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), hardware (such as laptops, docking stations, port replicators, monitors, tablets), and cloud computing. Additionally, training costs related to COTS and cloud computing are also covered under the scheme. The training should be included in the purchase price of the item in question and should all be from the same provider.
The next cut-off date is April 28,2023 – Noon. Further cut-off dates are approximately every 15 days till December of 2023.
