Deadline Extension Announced for Key SME Funding Schemes

SMEs now have additional time to benefit from several funding opportunities, as the deadline for a number of SME support schemes has officially been extended until 14 December 2026.
The extended schemes include:
SME Enhance Scheme
Designed for larger investment projects that drive business growth and innovation, this scheme offers grants of up to €128,400 and supports investments in machinery, equipment, furniture, IT systems, vehicles, and more. Multiple state aid options are available depending on eligibility.
Digitise Your SME
Supporting advanced digital transformation initiatives, this scheme offers funding ranging from €10,000 to €120,000, covering up to 50% of eligible costs in Malta and 60% in Gozo. Eligible investments include cybersecurity solutions, AI implementation, cloud systems, software development, and other digital technologies.
In addition, recent government announcements confirmed enhanced support for Artificial Intelligence-related investments. Projects incorporating AI may now benefit from additional funding of up to €107,000, increasing the total maximum support available to €235,400.
Business Reports for SMEs
This scheme offers support of up to €4,000, covering 80% of eligible costs, to help businesses review internal processes and systems while developing structured business plans aligned with future investment opportunities.
Marketing Strategy for Micro and Small Enterprises
Micro and small enterprises may benefit from grants of up to €10,000 to develop a professional and effective marketing strategy tailored to their business objectives and growth plans.
Feasibility Studies Scheme
This scheme supports businesses in assessing the viability, technical potential, and commercial sustainability of future projects and investments.
This extension provides SMEs with valuable additional time to plan, prepare, and apply for funding that can support growth and innovation.
